The sports nutrition course is designed to provide clear, simple and accurate facts based on the scientific principles of sports nutrition necessary to promote optimal health and performance in active sports individuals. On completion of this course, you should have a good understanding of specific sports nutrition, and possess adequate knowledge to make informed decisions in order to provide clients with basic sports nutrition advice and dietary guidelines that will enhance general health and sports performance. It explores the energy needs for various athletes, looks at pre-event nutrition, nutrition for recovery, key vitamins and minerals for athletes and popular dietary supplements.

Sports Conditioning Coach

This course is intended for already qualified personal trainers who would like to take things to the next level by specialising further in training sports people and athletes. This programme allows you to apply advanced programme design and conditioning methods in the fields of strength conditioning and high performance training to prepare athletes to compete at the top of their sport.

Training principles and methods of developing sports conditioning programmes

* Nutrition: Nutrition and dietary requirements for specific goals and special conditions

* Injuries: Adapting exercise programmes to risk factors and special conditions within the scope, and the referral process for clients with conditions outside the scope of an exercise specialist

FITNESS ASSESSMENTS INCLUDES:

Procedures for assessing sports specific clients and special population client

HIIT Instructor

This course will teach you all the principles of HIIT training and equip you with the skills to incorporate HIIT training into your current service offering or offer HIIT training boot camp classes. HIIT Training is a popular way of training athletes, as it emphasises the body’s natural ability to move.
Learn how to incorporate the following into a HIIT routine:

Gain insight on how to structure a variety of HIIT Training programmes, using all of the above, including: Tabata routines, hard, harder, hardest routines, Little method, Fartlek method and MITT method. The routines will empower the instructor to create fun, interactive, group training sessions which will keep your clients on their toes and wanting more.

Kids Development Specialist

Physical activity is vitally important to ensure proper development of the body and mind in children. The Kids Development Specialist course outlines the differences between training children as opposed to adults fundamental differences in the anatomy and physiology of the child’s body are discussed as well as the importance of physical activity to ensure proper development of both body and mind. This course focuses on age groups ranging from toddlers to teenagers. Although all the essential theoretical concepts are covered, this course is very practical in nature. You will cover all the fundamental movement skill areas and come away with lesson plan ideas for children of all ages.
